3Steps to Make a Payment:
- Go to MyTax Illinois.
- Under the Individuals section, select Make an Individual Income Tax Payment.
- A MyTax Illinois account is not required to make an individual payment.
- Enter the taxpayer's identifying information.
- Select the appropriate payment type:
- Return Payment – payment due with Form IL-1040.
- Extension Payment – payment made with an extension (Form IL-505-I).
- Select the appropriate tax year.
- Enter the payment amount and banking information.
- Review the information carefully and submit the payment.
- Save or print the confirmation for your records.

- Log in to the business's MyTax Illinois account.
- Locate the Business Income Tax account.
- Select View more account options.
- Under Periods and Submissions, select View Account Periods.
- Select the appropriate tax period/year.
- Select Make a Payment.
- Choose Bank Account Debit for an electronic payment.
- Select the appropriate payment type associated with the return.
- Enter the payment amount and banking information.
- Review and submit the payment.
- Save or print the confirmation for your records.
